Grand View Park

Grand View Park is named after a famous structure called Grand View Tower. The park used to be a private. garden owned by the Mu family. 1n 1690 the provincial governor Wang Jiwen ordered the garden expanded, and towers and pavilions were constructed. Gradually it was developed to a tourist attraction. Now the park is divided into three tourist areas.

Grand View Tower, rebuilt in 1883, is the best known attraction. A very long pair of couplets written by Sun Ranweng is hung on the front wall of the Grand View Tower, adding luster to this historic architecture.
