Located within the Chaotian Palace, the museum covers an area of 70,000 square meters, with a collection of more than 60,000 pieces of relics and 10,000 historical records and documents in modern China. The majority of the relics were unearthed in Nanjing, especially from the tombs of the six dynasties and the Ming Dynasty.
Other collections include ancient paintings and calligraphy, letters and articles used by Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
