Built 2,500 years ago, Yancheng, seven kilometers south of downtown Changzhou, is the oldest ancient city ruins under the best preservation in China. It is under the key state protection.
Yancheng is surrounded by three city walls and three city moats. Structure like this is rare in the world. Since the founding of the New China, countless relics have been unearthed from the ruins.
