Since an Arabian envoy officially introduced Islam to Tang Emperor Gaozong in 651 AD, the Islam began to spread in China. The development of Islam in China has resulted in many Muslim sites and buildings. Today, there are 10-odd minorities that adhere to Islam and have maintained unique lifestyles, diet and other customs.

B. Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Fri US West Coast/Beijing

Depart San Francisco or Los Angeles and fly to Beijing on a trans-Pacific flight. Cross International Date Line. Tour participants from other countries should arrange your arrival in Beijing next day.

Day 2 Sat US Arrive Beijing (D)

Arrive Beijing, China's capital. Our guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to 4 star Xinqiao Hotel for rest.

Day 3 Sun Beijing

Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and the Great Wall. It is going to be a busy day. Peking Duck Dinner.

Day 4 Mon Beijing

Visit Niujie (Ox Street) Mosque, Dongsi Mosque, Muslim Mansion. Dining at the Muslim restaurants.

Day 5 Tue        Beijing/Urumqi

Fly to Urumqi and transfer to Holiday Inn.

Day 6 Wed        Urumqi

Visit the Xinjiang Folk Exhibition, Tianshan Mountains, ,

Day 7 Thu        Urumqi

Visit Heavenly Lake, Muslim family and bazaars.

Day 8 Fri        Urumqi/Yinchuan

Fly to Yinchuan and transfer to Ningxia International Hotel, the best in town.

Day 9 Sat        Yinchuan

Visit Nanguan Mosque, Najiahu Mosque, Tongxin Mosque, dining at Yingbinlou Muslim Restaurant.

Day 10 Sun        Yinchuan/Xian

Fly to Xian and transfer to Shangri-La Golden Flower Hotel.

Day 11 Mon        Xian

Visit the Terra-cotta Army, Huaqing Hot Spring, Huajuexiang Mosque. Meet local Muslim people and their family.

Day 12 Tue    Xian/Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai and transfer to Rainbow Hotel.

Day 13 Wed    Shanghai

Visit the Bund, Yu Garden, Songjiang Mosque, Xiaotaoyuan Mosque and dine at one of the Muslim restaurant.

Day 14 Thu    Shanghai/US

Transfer to the airport and fly to US or your country.
