The main structure in the temple is the Mahavira Hall, the largest ancient wooden-structured temple in China. Built on a three-meter stylobate, it has 14 rooms and three doors, and enshrines seven Buddhist statues sculptured during the Liao Dynasty. In the center of the hall there is a statue of sitting Buddha, measuring 9.5 meters high. On the beams and arches there are paintings of the Liao Dynasty. On the walls, there are murals of the Yuan Dynasty.
