Six kilometers from downtown Nanchang, Qingyupu, a Taoist temple, was built some 2,500 years ago. It was the former residence of Zhu Da (1626-1705), known as Badashanren, a master painter of ink and wash, of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). The style of painting of Zhu Da had a great influence upon painters of later generations. After innovation, Qingyunpu has served as a memorial hall of Badashanren. |
