Located on Zhongshan Road in downtown Nanchang, the memorial hall has an exhibition area of 1,500 square meters.
On August 1, 1927, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, He Long, Ye Ting, Liu Bocheng, and others organized the Nanchang Uprising with more than 30,000 participants. Many important meetings were held here.
A 45.5-meter-tall monument was erected on the August 1st Square to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising. On the monument there are inscriptions and reliefs.
