The Yellow River Trip

The name of Henan derived from its geographical location. The Yellow River enters Henan at Sanmenxia, and flows eastward through 'Eaiqian County. The middle and lower reaches of the river measuring 700 kilometers pass through four ancient cultural cities including Sanmenxia, Luoyang, Zhengzhhou, and Kaifeng. The middle reaches of the river runs abruptly through mountains, and forms a suspended river with silt a dozen meters higher than the riverbed in Kaifeng. It is an unforgettable experience to drift along the river by sheep-skin rafts, an ancient means of transportation.
