Drifting Along Rivers

China has vast land crisscrossed with rivers and lakes, providing rich natural resources for drifting. The Nine Rapids and the Eighteen Shoals is located in the Wujiang DriftingRiver between Pingshi and Lechang at the foot of Mt. Dayao in northern Guangdong Province, totaling 60 kilometers in length with a total drop of 65 meters.

Along the banks there are many tourist attractions, including'Mt. Turtle, Mt. Ma'an, Mt. Frog, Miaozijiao, Hanlong Cave, Mt. Dayao Tunnel, and the ten-li corridor. The most dangerous one among the nine rapids is Chui, with a drop of three meters. Every year, the Nine Rapids and the Eighteen Shoals attract numerous adventurers from home and abroad.
