Mochou Lake Park

The Mochou (Don't Worry) Lake derived its name from the legend about Mochou, a young woman married from the faraway city of Luoyang to the Lus, a rich family in Jiangdong.

The lake is situated outside the Western Gate of Nanjing and endowed with quite a few places of historical interest dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. These include the Shengqi Chamber and the Baoyue Chamber. For a time the Mochou Lake was the "unmatched scenic spot of Jinling".
