East Lake

The Fast Lake came about as a result of stone quarrying in a place three kilometers cast of the city district of Shaoxing. Water and rockwork are closely related on this lake, where water is clear and rocks are exotic in shape.

The beauty of the water-bound city is played up with the addition of dykes, isles, bridges and pavilions built in different periods of time. The East Lake is, in short, a famed tourist attraction in the lower Yangtze valley.
