Canglang Pavilion (Pavilion of Surging Waves)

The Pavilion of Surging Waves is a classical garden built by Su Shunqin, renowned man of letters, in 1044, or the fourth year of the Qingli Reign of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is situated close by the Sanyuanfang neighborhood, and not far from the Panmen Water City of Suzhou.

Ancient trees form a giant overhead canopy over the garden, which is studded with intricate rock formations. The entire place exudes an air of classical sanctity.
