Sheshan National Forest Park

Located to the southwest of the city of Shanghai, about 35 kilometers from the city proper, Sheshan National Forest Park is the only local tourist attraction with natural mountain forest resources. The national forest park is known for its beautiful scenery and abundant natural and historical resources, such as the Goddess Hall on Mount Xishc, and the Astronomical Observatory and Seismograph Station on Mount Sheshan. The latter two take important positions in scientific research in China.

The Fastern Garden is also known as "Blue Bamboo Hill," as it is covered with bamboo groves, natural, simple an unsophisticated. More than 20 tourist attractions are located on th South and North peaks, including the Meigong Fishing Rock, a bathin beach, an aviary, a cableway and a natural slide.
