Mount Sanbai National Forest Park

Mount Scribai, referring to all the peaks on the southeastern border of Jiangxi Province, is an area where the western slope of the southern section of the Wuyi Mountains and the northern slope of the eastern section of the Nanling Mountains meet. It is also the watershed between the Gongjiang River of the Yangtze River System and the Dongjiang River of the Pearl River System, and the fountainhead of the potable water delivered to the compatriots in Hong Kong.

Volcanic Mount Sanbai has fantastic peaks, tranquil valleys, clean streams, green lakes, hanging waterfalls, deep ponds, dense forests, ancient trees, rare birds and animals, weirdly-shaped rocks, beaches and hot springs. It is an ideal area for holidaymaking and sighseeing Magnificent waterfalls, well preserved evergreen broad leaf forests and a pristine environment arc the magnificent attractions of Mount Sanbai.

At the southernmost tip of the central sub-tropical zone, Mount Sambai is a rare area in South China, where the forest coverage reaches 98 percen.t It is home to 755 species of woody plants, which fall into 116 families, and more than 2,000 species of other plants, including over 20 species under state protection, such as lnclascquola, ginkgo, the bark of eucommia, brelschrleldera, lung trees, cavaler curycorymbus, silvcrhack artocarpus, hosie ormosia and Chinese yew.
