  • What's On: Meizhou Island is the hometown of Mazu. Mazu Temple, known as the ancestor's temple in Meizhou, was built in the fourth year of the Yongxi reign period of the Song Dynasty
  • (987), the first anniversary of Lin Mo's death. The temple is crowded with people on the 23rd day of the third lunar month, the birthday of Mazu and a great memorial ceremony for Mazu is held.

    China Wuqiao Acrobatics, Folk Customs and Tourism Culture Festival

  • What's On: The opening ceremony of the festival, a visit to the Great World of Acrobatics, acrobatic folk villages and families, watching unique acrobatic and magic performances, experiencing the joy of personal participation in the acrobatics and enjoying food service in the form of acrobatics and magic. Wuqiao is known both in China and abroad as "a land of acrobatics." The Wuqiao Great World of Acrobatics, built in 1993, adds splendor to the performances of traditional acrobatic, magic and animal training a new look.

  • China Zhoushan International Sand Sculpture Festival

  • Venue: Zhujiajian, Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province
  • What's On: Zhoushan, a pearl on the East China Sea, is the first largest archipelago of China. Zhujiajian Sand Beach has been affirmed as a base for international sand sculpture activity by the International Sand Sculpture Organization. The sand here is fine, and exquisite art works, combining natural scenery with human spirits, are created by sculptors with sand and sea water here. The sunshine, waves and golden sand will make every tourist feel carefree and joyous that they almost get lost for a while in the embrace of nature.
